Why is it?

Dear Friends,
Why is it we keep getting the short end of the stick when it comes to gas gouging stations? Last week my wife and I traveled downstate to Saginaw and gas was $3.60, 25 cents cheaper than here in Houghton Lake (last week we were the highest gas price in the state of Michigan ) and now because of Hurricane Ike the sky is the limit. The gas prices just keep climbing! The gas went from an average of $3.85 to a high of $4.38 in less then a week. Personally I think it is not just the oil companies being greedy but also that it is the gas stations just using the tragic situations like hurricane's, tornado's and flood's to their advantage. And hiking up the gas just because they can do it and they can get away with it. The price of oil per barrel came down, all the while the price of gas has stayed up. Its a shame that we have become such a greedy group of people and we use someone else’s hardship to benefit for our own profit.
I would really like to see the Governor of this state fine these price gougers and not just talk about it, it’s all about GREED people, all about Greed!

What is going to happen after a democrat gets to be president with a democratic congress? Their approval rate is 14%. They passed this boggus bail out, as soon as aig got some of the bail out they went and spent a week at a retreat, came back got more and went again. What is happening with congress? Look at the bonuses that are still given? Have you seen any improvement with the economy? Its getting worse. I have been a democrat my whole life, I don't remember being buffalowed like this. I have thought its about time we replace the whole congress, house and senate. You can't, there isn't anyone running against them up here. Why don't we have a vote or a right anymore? Why vote, do you really think your vote counts? one candidate in one state take the popular vote and then its taken away. Where is our rights? God help us as I cannot see anyone of the political team helping the little people. Keep tabs on all the bonus that are handed out at the end of the year. where are ours? Our grandkids will be paying for their bonuses and greed for many years to come.
